1) Aphrodite isn't a vampyre, or a fedgling, nor is she a normal human. Maybe her being a different "species" made her immune to Kalona's hypnotic eyes.

2) Because she Imprinted with Stevie Rae and the red fledglings and vamps are imune to him, maybe the effect of the Imprint prevented her from being hypnotized.
