| So I was bored and I decided to pick up one of the many poetry books I own and found that some of these poems related to the characters and their situations. I hope you like them. I will later post some of my own I that I have worked on but first give me your opinion if you agree with my selections.
Zoey Upon Awakening
Mirage
The hope I dreamed of was a dream, Was but a dream; and now I wake, Exceeding comfortless, and worn, and old, For a dream's sake.
I hang my harp upon a tree, A weeping willow in a lake; I hang my silenced harp there, wrung and snapt For a dream's sake.
Lie still, lie still, my breaking heart; My silent heart, lie still and break: Life, and the world, and mine own self, are changed For a dream's sake. -----Christina Rossetti
Zoey to Her mothers (yes to her mothers).
Mother, I cannot mind my wheel; My fingers ache, my lips are dry; Oh! if you felt the pain I feel! But oh, who ever felt as I! ----Sappho
Zoe to Heath's grave
Epitaph On The Monument of Sir William Dyer at Colmworth
My dearest dust, could not thy hasty day Afford thy drowsy patience leave to stay One hour longer: so that we might either Sit up, or gone to bed together? But since thy finished labour hath possessed Thy weary limbs with early rest, Enjoy it sweetly: and thy widow bride Shall soon repose her by thy slumbering side. Whose business, now, is only to prepare My nightly dress, and call to prayer: Mine eyes wax heavy and the day grows old, the dew falls thick, my blood grows cold. Draw, draw the closed curtains: and make room: My dear, my dearest dust; I come, I come. -----Lady Catherine Dyer
Heath to Zoey
Remember
Remember me when i am gone away, Gone far away into the silent land; When you can no more hold me by the hand, Nor I half turn to go, yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day You tell me of our future that you planned: Only remember me; you understand It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while And afterwards remembe, do not grieve: For if the darkness and corruption leave A vestige of the thoughts that once i had, Better by far you should forget and smile Than that you should remember and be sad. ----------Christina Rossetti
Heath (alive) to Zoey
This living hand, now warm and capable Of earnest grasping, would, if it were cold And in the icy silence of the tomb, So haunt thy days and chill thy dreaming nights That thou wouldst wish thine own heart dry of blood So in my veins red life might stream again, And thou be conscience-calmed-see here it is- I hold it towards you. ------------John Keats
Kalona; Neferet; Dallas
The night has a thousand eyes, And the day but one; Yet the light of the bright world dies With the dying sun.
The mind has a thousand eyes, And the heart but one; Yet the light of a whole life dies When love is done. ------Francis William Bourdillon
To those characters surviving on jealousy
Love And Jealousy
How much are they deceived who vainly strive, By jealous fears, to keep our flames alive/ Love's like a torch, which if secured from blasts, Will faintlier burn; but then it longer lasts. Exposed to storms of jealousy and doubt, The blaze grows greater, but 'tis sooner out. ------------William Walsh
To Those Characters Burned By Love
Symptoms Of Love
Love is a universal migraine, A bright stain on the vision Blotting out reason.
Symptoms of true love Are leanness, jealousy, Laggard dawns;
Are omens and nightmares- Listening for a knock, Waiting for a sign:
For a touch of her fingers In a darkened room, For a searching look.
Take courage, lover! Can you endure such grief At any hand but hers? ------Roberts Graves
Raphaim to Stevie Rae
The Definition Of Love
My Love is of a birth as rare As 'tis for object strange and high: It was begotten by Despair Upon Impossibility.
Magnanimous Despair alone Could show me so divine a thing, Where feeble Hope could ne'er have flown But vainly flapped its tinsel wing.
And yet I quickly might arrive Where my extended should is fixed, But Fate does iron wedges drive, And always crowds itself betwixt.
For Fate with jealous eye does see Two perfect Loves; nor lets them close: Their union would her ruin be, And her tyrannic power depose.
And therefore her decrees of steel Us as the distant Poles have placed, (Though Love's whole World on us doth wheel) Not by themselves to be embraced.
Unless the giddy Heaven fall, And Earth some new convulsion tear; And, us to join, the World should all Be cramped into a planisphere.
As lines so Love oblique may well Themselves in every angle greet: But ours so truly parallel, Though infinite, can never meet.
Therefore the Love which us doth bind But Fate so enviously debars, Is the conjunction of the Mind, And opposition of the Stars. --------Andrew Marvell
Raphaim and Stevie Rae to each other
When we two parted In silence and tears, Half broken-hearted, To sever for years, Pale grew thy cheek and cold, Colder thy kiss; Truly that hour foretold Sorrow to this!
The dew of the morning Sunk chill on my brow; it felt like the warning Of what I feel now. Thy vows are all broken, And light is thy fame: I hear thy name spoken And share in its shame.
They name thee before me, A knell to mine ear; A shudder comes o'er me- Why wert thou so dear? They know not I knew thee Who knew thee too well: Long, long shall I rue thee Too deeply to tell.
In secret we met: In silence I grieve That thy heart could forget, Thy spirit deceive. If I should meet thee After long years, How should I greet thee?- With silence and tears. -----Lord Byron
Stevie Rae and Raphaim to each other
My life closed twice before its close- It yet remains to see If Immortality unveil A third event to me
So huge, so hopeless to conceive As these that twice befell. parting is all we know of heaven, And all we need of hell. ----Emily Dickinson
I will be back with more I hope you like them. let me know what you think.

| Not that they suck, they're good. But if they aren't your writes... Even if you credit them, I don't think it's quite that nice to put them up (: Still, some are pretty closely related to what I think about the novel too.
I anticipate your own writes (: Makes this thread more unique, more special.
