Harry Potter People!

I loved the first few books, until book 6. But book 7 wasn't that bad afterall... other than the movie... although i didn't watch, i head it was terrible. Must be the director. /sigh/ stupid director.

Well, Book 7 was faboulous <33 other than the ending. (epilogue, is that what it's called? 'ten years later' section)

Yeah, that's called an epilogue.

I haven't watch the 7th movie yet, but from the 5th one I am quite angry because they changed the storyline. The 6th was a let down, I was having high hopes for that, but I understand when they said things were just warming up.

You watched the movie as well? Yes, I do sort of agree that the epilogue was sort of, making me uneasy but it's nice to know what happens 10 years later, haha. I just didn't expect them to have children so soon.

But I think Harry Potter movies are better than the Twilight movies, it's far more....exciting, and I'm speaking from someone who loves Twilight books, haha.
But there's always the case where the movies are no match for the books, lol.

Apparently, if the movie isn't better than the books, it's a good series. Because it shows that effort was put into writing the story, to carve out a 3d world, with 3d people.

if the movie is better than the book, it just goes to show that the book hasn't enough depth to make it stand out.

movies get outdated, books don't. Okay I meant outdated by the number of times you can rewatch/ reread. Yes, dvds, but the cinemas make them get 'outdated' really fast. After a week or two, the movie would not be screened anymore. But books? My friend is borrowing Harry Potter from me NOW. And I saw this lower secondary school girl from another school reading the 2nd book of Harry Potter on my way home somewhere in late october last year. Books don't get outdated somehow. They maybe loose their popularity, but they just won't get 'old'.

Yes, books are special in that way and I always wonder why.....

I've no idea. But that's why I tend to like buying books. I find joy in reading them, but more so in buying them.

I'm a movie/book geek, but sometimes movies that does not base on books are far more entertaining than those which are. Maybe because I have high expectations? lol

actually it's true. it's because after reading the book, i guess we would presume somethings to be like this or like that. so we will be disappointed when we don't get what we want/ hope to get from the movie... yeah expectations.

Sometimes expectations suck though because you get all psyched and excited but that feeling crumpled when the movie turned out otherwise. I'm lucky with the Percy Jackson case because I watched the movie before I read the book and I adore the movie and when I read the book I was not that pissed. But they did chage a lot and luckily I didn't have high expectations for that, lol

didn't read that book, only saw it in bookstores AFTER the movie was out.

i was disappointed with the movie itself, although i didn't read the story at all. It's about the 'lightning thief', but only a tiny bit of the movie, like 15mins of the whole movie was about the lightning thief... the rest was just about percy jackson... and some random shyt events.
